MENU TODAY – Salisbury Steak w/gravy, mashed potatoes, whole wheat bread, applesauce/hamburger on a roll or chicken wrap.

MENU TOMORROW – Spartan Cheese Steak, red sauce w/peppers and onions, cheese sauce, baked French fries, mixed fruit cup

 

NS Jr./Sr. Prom will be held at Genetti’s in Hazleton on May 5, 2012.  All students must be in compliance or sign up for the drug testing policy by February 17, 2012.  Any questions, regarding this matter, please see Mrs. Seip in the guidance office.

 

All returning vo-tech students must be registered in order to drive to school.  Please stop in the main office for your paperwork.  Cost is $25.

 

Attention all band students:  there is rehearsal today from 3-5PM in the band room.  Any problems, please see Mr. Tenaglia.

 

Listen up West Side Story cast – today’s choreography rehearsal will be held in the lower lobby outside of the auditorium.  Make sure you are on time ready to dance!  Any problems, see Mr. Lucas or Mr. Cuthie.

 

There will be an FBLA meeting today in room #560 after school.  Upcoming events will be discussed.

 

GUIDANCE NEWS:

·       There are scholarship opportunities available for any student who is planning to attend Lock Haven University.  Please visit guidance for an application.

 

SPORTS NEWS:

·       Frackville Teener Baseball registration will be held this Saturday, February 4 at the Friendship Fire Co. in Engelwood from 10AM to 12N.

·       Varsity wrestling cheerleaders must be at the school no later than 3:45PM today for the match.

·       Any 7th and 8th grader who would like to play softball this year for the Lady Spartans, please sign up in the guidance office.

·       The NS Swim team lost to Shamokin but had amazing times!  First place finishers were Nick Evert and the boys 400 freestyle relay team of Josh Molina, Nick Evert, Matt Antanavage, and Brendan Shearn.  Special congratulations to Josh Molina who qualified for Districts in the 100 butterfly.  Tim Prock also dropped 9 seconds to qualify for Districts in the 100 butterfly.  Good Luck at your last regular season swim meet on Thursday.

·       The Lady Spartan basketball team beat Panther Valley 61 to 28 last night.  Dominique Reinoehl had 12 points for the Lady Spartans, Caitlyn Deeter added 10.

·       The boys’ Jr. High basketball team hosts Shenandoah Valley tonight at 5PM.

·       The NS wrestling team is at Pine Grove. Jr. High match begins at 6PM.
