North Schuylkill Elementary is a Bully Free School!
NSE is a bully-free zone

NSE's Four Anti-Bullying Rules

Rule 1: We will not bully others.

Rule 2: We will try to help students who are bullied.

Rule 3: We will try to include students who are left out.

Rule 4: If we know that somebody is being bullied, we will tell an adult at school and an adult at home.

North Schuylkill Elementary has implemented the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program. Guidance Counselors Michelle Hull and Sue Prushinksi are leading our efforts to curtail bullying in our school. Parents, please click the following link for more information about this program and ways you can partner with Ms. Prushinski and Mrs. Hull, as well as our teachers, staff and administrators, in preventing bullying among NSE's students.

+ After School Program's Spring Session for 5th and 6th Grade Students Will Resume October 2010.

The North Schuylkill School District after school enrichment program for 5th and 6th grade students will resume in October 2010. The program is being made possible through a 21st Century Community Learning Center federal grant.

The program offers homework help, math and reading tutoring and a variety of enrichment activities including art, music, field trips, movies, guest speakers, physical fitness and more!  Transportation home is provided, as is a daily snack.

The After School Program is available each weekday, Monday through Thursday, from 3:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.  The program will run for ten weeks in the Fall and another ten weeks in the Spring.  Your child must commit to the entire ten weeks to get the most benefit from the program. An advanced commitment is necessary so that we may provide enough teachers, materials for students and coordinate bussing. Registration for next year's program will begin in September.

If you have any questions regarding the After School Program, please contact Beverly Ney, Program Coordinator, at bney@northschuylkill.net.
