Dear Parents and Guardians:
Elementary school experiences should be ones that bring growth both socially and academically to our young learners. The North Schuylkill School District prides itself in making each child excel in learning. As parents, community members and teachers, we have a mutual obligation to help the young people of our area and the nation to prepare themselves for a successful future. In order for parents and teachers to work as a team to improve educational opportunities for all students, an open communication must exist. Weekly newsletters are sent home in Friday Folders and monthly calendars are sent home to keep parents informed of what is happening in the school. Monthly PTO meetings are held. Our PTO is responsible for our grade level field trips and assembly programs throughout the year. We enjoy the good working relationships with our parents and our community. The Ashland, Frackville, and Ringtown public Libraries keep a complete set of our textbooks for students to use if they forget a book in school or would like to review any subject matter after school hours or on weekends. These books may not be taken out of the library. We appreciate a cooperation of the local libraries for providing the community these services. We are pleased to have you as a partner in educating the youth in our area. As the school year progresses and questions arise, we encourage you to call the school to talk with your child’s teacher.
Sincerely,
Neall R. Jones Keith D. Yarger District Elementary Principals |
