On August 27th North Schuylkill School District's newest school building welcomed students from the former Frackville and Ashland Elementary Centers. Students and staff have settled into the state-of-the-art, 104,000 square foot, K-6 facility, which continues to receive rave reviews! North Schuylkill Announces “Flip the Switch” Event

North Schuylkill will showcase its Classrooms For the Future equipment and its use in our junior senior high school during a “Flip the Switch” event on May 9th.  More information regarding this event will posted in the following weeks. The $200,000 state grant has allowed our district to equip 33 classrooms with interactive whiteboards, projectors, computers, scanners and a variety of multimedia technology including video and digital cameras.

If you have not received your account information please contact your child’s school or call the district office at 874-0466, extension 1173. Text Box: 2007-2008 NetDay Student and Parent Survey Results Now Available

NetDay Speak Up is an annual national research project that collects the voices and views of students, teachers, and parents on topics such as educational technology, science, math, and 21st century workforce skills. Results are shared free-of-charge to North Schuylkill and are used in our own conversations about school planning and policies.

Our K-12 student population will be surveyed every two-three years. Last year’s survey results can be accessed by clicking here.

New After School Program For District’s 5th and 6th Grade Students

            

             The North Schuylkill School District launched its after school enrichment program for all 5th and 6th grade students on March 10th. The program is being made possible by funding secured  through a 21st Century Community Learning Center federal grant.

             The program offers homework help, Math and Reading tutoring and a variety of enrichment activities including art, music, field trips, movies, guest speakers, physical fitness and more! Transportation home is provided as is a daily snack. The final session for 2007-2008 was Thursday, April 17th. The after school program will resume in October 2008 and run for 6 weeks, Monday through Thursday, from 3:30-5:30 PM. Signup information for next year’s program will be posted on this page during the summer months. Online Lunch Payments Now Available!

EZSchoolPay Frequently Asked Questions

 

The North Schuylkill School District is pleased to announce that we are now accepting online payments for cafeteria accounts for NSE and the JSHS. NS Ringtown will be online in the next few weeks. Parents can sign up at www.ezschoolpay.com and use either a MasterCard or Visa to deposit money into their student’s account. There is a 6% service fee added to each transaction. This site can also be used to check students’ account balances, free of charge.  For directions on using the site please click here.

North Schuylkill’s FBLA Members Shine At State Competition

FBLA members from across the state competed in academic events and participated in many other activities at the FBLA State Leadership Conference held at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center in Hershey, Pa.  North Schuylkill FBLA chapter members earned the right to compete at the state competition by placing 1st-3rd at the regional competition held at Bloomsburg University.
