North Schuylkill Participates in Capitol Hill Briefing on Curriculum and Technology

The North Schuylkill School District was invited to participate on a panel of K-12 students, teachers, administrators and parents from all 50 states and share their ideas on science, math, technology and 21st century skills. The panel discussion took place at the Rayburn House Office Building on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. and was sponsored by Rep. Lucille Roybal-Allard. During this briefing the key Speak Up 2007 findings from Project Tomorrow were released. Additional findings were presented in the Powerpoint presented at the briefing.

North Schuylkill Students' Point of View Sought

Student Advisory Committee

North Schuylkill's Curriculum and Technology Advisory Council, to be launched during the 2008-2009 school year, will include student membership. If you are interested in serving on this council and representing the student "point of view" contact Mr. Caputo, Supervisor of Curriculum, Technology and Federal Programs at pcaputo@northschuylkill.net.

North Schuylkill students will also have to opportunity to apply for membership on the Speak Up Advisory Council. The council consists of 22 students from the United States (including North Schuylkill) and Australia and advises Project Tomorrow on the key issues students face in their education. Announcements will be made when applications for the 2009-2010 term are available.
