Educational Credentials and Teaching Experience:

 

·        1992 graduate of North Schuylkill High School

·        1997 graduate of Bloomsburg University with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education

·        2001 graduate of Wilkes University with a Master’s degree in classroom technology

 

 

·        Teaching at North Schuylkill for 9 years

 

-         6th grade Social Studies teacher for 3 years (Frackville building)

-         Computer and Gifted teacher for the past 6 years (Ashland,  Frackville and Ringtown buildings)

-         Also schedules and presents the distance learning programs using our video conference technology

Classroom Rules:

 

·        Students are expected to follow school rules set by the district handbook.  The classroom code of conduct emphasizes good manners and shared respect between teacher and student.  Students are also encouraged to respect each other and the computers in the Lab.

·        Computer classes for grades K-6

 

In computer class, we focus on preparing each student to feel confident using the computer and practicing skills that will help them both in and out of the classroom.

Internet research

Math, Science, Reading and Spelling review games

Extension activities that go along with the classroom curriculum and textbooks

Acceleration is done individually in the classroom.  Enrichment activities are done both individually and as a group.  Enrichment activities are done to enhance the curriculum and individual strengths and interests.
