Roobhenn Smith — Assistant Elementary Principal
My academic background includes a B.A. in Sociology from Lehigh University (2001), a master’s in education in Business, Computer, and Information Technology from Bloomsburg University (2011), and Principal Certification through the Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit #21 School Leadership Program (2017).
My journey in education began as an admissions counselor for my alma mater, Lehigh University, where I first discovered my passion for working with students. That passion led me to the classroom as a substitute teacher for the Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit #21 and has since grown into a fulfilling career in education. Along the way, I have valued every opportunity to build meaningful relationships with students and families. I believe strongly in the power of partnerships and collaboration in helping all children become the very best versions of themselves. I am grateful to be the Assistant Principal here at North Schuylkill Elementary and look forward to supporting our future Spartans in all their endeavors.
Outside of school, I enjoy life as a husband, father, and coach. My wife, Harmony, is the Director of the Poland Division for Olympus America, and our son, Bryan, is a rising senior at Bloomsburg University studying digital forensics. In my spare time, I enjoy exercising, spending time with my family, and following sports.
As Assistant Principal, I am committed to fostering a positive school culture that supports learning, growth, and student success. I look forward to working alongside our dedicated staff and supportive families to help every Spartan thrive.
