Technology Department
About the Technology Department
At North Schuylkill School District, we’re dedicated to integrating technology in meaningful ways, ensuring that our choices regarding hardware and software are closely aligned with our educational goals. Recognizing the dynamic nature of technology, we offer our faculty and staff continuous professional development opportunities. These are available on-demand and scheduled throughout the year, embracing both online and in-person formats to cater to diverse learning preferences.
Our commitment to technology is a cornerstone of our Personalized Learning initiative. This approach empowers both teachers and students by providing them with access to technological tools that foster individual exploration and learning. Personalized learning has been a significant part of our strategy during and beyond the pandemic, transforming the educational experience by linking students’ personal interests with their academic pursuits.
Building on this commitment, every student will be equipped with a device that supports our educational goals. This initiative facilitates better communication and collaboration through platforms like Google Apps for Education and ensures that student work is accessible across a broad range of devices — from computers to smartphones — both in school and at home.
In the coming year, we plan to introduce more innovative tools and platforms to further enrich our teaching and learning environment. This includes expanding our digital resources and exploring new ways to integrate technology into our curriculum, making education more interactive, engaging, and accessible for every student. Our goal is to prepare our students for a future where technology plays a pivotal role in every aspect of their lives.
